WRRD and Too Much Metal

Posted by

MILWAUKEE -  Too Much Metal is honored and excited to have designed the logo and branding for Milwaukee's newest talk radio station, WRRD Resistance Radio 1510am. "My design aesthetic has always been about rebellion and an outsider's perspective," says graphic designer and Too Much Metal owner, Fred Gillich. " After 22 years of challenging authority and design standards this project was just an obvious fit. I wanted the big red letter R to feel like it belonged in the anarchy logo design language."

WRRD owner Mike Crute wanted something fresh and dirty — a new look for a new tone of conversation in Milwaukee. "Dom [Salvia] reached out to me and asked if I could help. And after talking with both of these guys for a couple of minutes, I got a pretty good idea of what they wanted to see," says Gillich.
