25 years ago, Milwaukee had super low self-esteem. There was a brain drain. Many creative types went elsewhere to realize their potential.
We had a wishy-washy creative culture, and we certainly had no creative economy. You can’t say that about Milwaukee today. You stuck around and you worked to change that.
